- Long term unemployment
- Mental illness
- Exiting prison or State Care
- Gambling problems
- Drug & Alcohol abuse
The homeless hub believes that due to increasing shortage of affordable, safe and stable accommodation is directly contributing to homelessness in the Shoalhaven and many other parts of Australia.
More and more Australian families and individuals are paying more than 30-50% of their income on housing (either renting or mortgaged). They too are at a serious risk of Homelessness.
People that are struggling unable to pay for basic necessities such as housing, food, childcare and health can mean a person is one illness, accident or one pay check away from living on the streets and becoming homeless.
